The Cleveland Cavaliers and restricted free agent Tristan Thompson have agreed on a five-year, $82 million contract extension.
Chris Haynes of NEOMG had it first.
Rich Paul, agent for Tristan Thompson, confirmed to Marc J. Spears of Y! Sports of the deal.
It is a fully guaranteed deal, no team or player options.
Cleveland will have the highest payroll in NBA history with the signing, with a commitment this year of approximately $115 million.
The Cavaliers have not confirmed the signing yet, however.
Details to come.
