The Canton Charge ended their two game losing streak tonight as they won 89-85 over the Long Island Nets. The Charge move to 3-6 on the season and 2-4 at home.
The Charge early on led 10-2 at the start of the gate, but then the Nets went on a 15-9 run to close out the first quarter and only trailed by two at the end of one. The Nets added onto that run and went on a 29-26 run which let them have a nine point lead at the half.
The Charge turned on offensively, especially from three point range at the start of the third quarter and second half. The Charge at the end of the first half was shooting 3/14 from three, but started 5/7 from three at the start of the third quarter. The offensive out put in the third quarter was one of the main reasons for the win as they had 33 points in the third quarter. There was also a sense of urgency and defense for the Charge and the players were trying to fire up the crowd.
Whatever the Charge did at halftime and the adjustments, it sure worked in a big way. A win they can build on and have a lot of confidence. They were down majority of the game after the first quarter and they fought and battled back.
Quinn Cook had one of his best games of the season tonight. He led the Charge in scoring with 27 points. Cook also had 6 rebounds and 4 assists. He is the player of the game who had the most impact on the game.
