The Cleveland Cavaliers fall to 1-2 on their six-game road trip, as the Los Angeles Lakers route the Cavs 127-113.
Former Cavalier, Isaiah Thomas put on a show coming off the bench, as he had 20 points, nine assists, five rebounds and one steal. However, it was Julius Randle’s night, as he had 36 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and one steal. Brook Lopez had 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 20 points, six rebounds, two steals and one assist. Lastly, Kyle Kuzma had a double-double, as he had 14 points, 10 rebounds and two assists.
For the Cavaliers, LeBron James had 24 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal. Larry Nance Jr. in his return had 16 points, eight rebounds and one assist. Ante Zizic had a career high, as he had 15 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Jose Calderon had 14 points, two assists, one rebound and one steal off the bench.
The Cavs defense just wasn’t really there for them last night and it hasn’t been there for a while. The Cavs desperately miss Kevin Love and will welcome him back with open arms.
With this loss, the Cavs now fall to fourth place in the Eastern Conference and second place in the Central Division. The Indiana Pacers overtook the Cavs.
The Cavs are now just a half game up on the fourth seed and three games ahead of the eighth seed.
The Cavaliers road trip continues tomorrow night in Phoenix.
