The Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Miami Heat, 98-79. More troubling news, they also lost Kevin Love due to injury.
Love was elbowed in the mouth early in the first quarter. He left the game to get checked out, and he came back in, but then he was held out at halftime because of concussion like symptoms.
He suffered a lose tooth. The Cavs announced Love has been ruled out for tonight’s game and is entering concussion protocol. Love only one point and one rebound in the game last night.
The Cavs were led by LeBron James, who had 18 points, seven assists, six rebounds and six turnovers. Rodney Hood had 15 points, three rebounds and one steal. Jordan Clarkson had 11 points, two assists and one steal. Jose Calderon had 11 points, two assists, one rebound and one steal.
The Cavs shot terribly from the field last night as well and coughed up the ball 18 times in the process. The Cavs shot 36.5 percent from the field. They also shot 15.4 percent from three point range. They only made four three’s last night.
Dwyane Wade had 12 points, four assists, four blocks, two rebounds and one steal. This is the first time he has played against the Cavs since being traded to Miami.
The Cavs have now last 14 straight at Miami.
The Cavs head to Charlotte to play the Hornets Wednesday night to conclude their mini three game road trip.
