The Cleveland Cavaliers had a rough going on the offensive end, but pulled out the win to stay in the third seed in the Eastern Conference as they defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 98-87.
It wasn’t a pretty offensive game for LeBron James and company, but they pulled out a win against the struggling Dallas Mavericks.
This was an important win for the Cavs as they still remain a half game up on Philadelphia and a whole game up on Indiana for the third seed in the Eastern Conference. Any loss down the stretch will be crucial at this point trying to secure home court advantage for round one.
The Cavs have two more games on this home stand against two very tough opponents and possible playoff preview as well.
The Cavs tonight were led by LeBron James who had 16 points (5/21 from the field), 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. Jordan Clarkson also had 16 points, along with three steals. JR Smith provided a spark off the bench as he had 15 points and four rebounds. Kevin Love had 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Rodney Hood also had nine points, two rebounds and two assists. Larry Nance Jr. had seven points and six rebounds.
The Cavs will play the Toronto Raptors Tuesday night in Cleveland.
